Healthcare In Africa

Access to healthcare in Africa varies by country and region. However, according to the World Health Organization (WHO), approximately half of the African population lacks access to essential health services. In many African countries, there is a shortage of healthcare workers. The WHO reports that there are only two physicians per 10,000 people in Africa, compared to 26 physicians per 10,000 people in Europe.

The lack of access to healthcare in Africa has a significant impact on maternal and child health. The maternal mortality rate in sub-Saharan Africa is 533 deaths per 100,000 live births, compared to 12 deaths per 100,000 live births in developed countries.

Who We Are

Help to Help, Inc. is a nonprofit tax exempt NGO registered as a 501(c)(3) organization.

Our Vision

Help to Help, Inc. envisions a larger and more sustainable public health system in Africa that provides reliable access to basic healthcare for all its people in need. We are still in the humble beginnings of this massive effort that depends heavily on the work of public charities and private foundations. Help to Help, Inc. is taking the next step in the evolution of public health in Africa by establishing permanent free clinics in large commercial facilities where Africans in need can get healthcare services that meet basic modern standards in developed countries.

Our Mission

We are on a mission to develop one commercial scale modern medical facility at a time that provides free access to healthcare from volunteer medical professionals year-round! With our first facility set to open in Lome, Togo, in 2023, we’re rallying donors and volunteers to make a lasting impact on the health conditions and quality of life of impoverished communities in Africa.

Our Methods

  1. Acquire a vacant facility near a region in Africa that is in need.
  2. Collect functioning decommissioned medical equipment from developed countries to stock the facility.
  3. Rally volunteer medical professional to staff the facility as frequently as possible.
  4. Repeat!
